Hailing from the West Coast of Scotland, Marcus is an actor based in New York City. A 2014 graduate of The Juilliard School Drama Division (Group 43), Marcus is drawn to work that expands his understanding of storytelling - a frequent collaborator with musicians, dancers and visual artists, he is constantly looking for projects that challenge conventional ideas of form, structure and how audiences engage with content.
In 2017, Marcus worked with the Pan Asian Repertory Theatre on Angel Lam's LOST IN SHANGHAI, which played Theatre Row this May, before spending the summer working on Jordan Teicher's WHAT'S IN YOUR FRIDGE? which was featured in The Arctic Group's first annual Fridge Festival at IRT Theatre.
In June, Marcus made his US network television debut in AMC's TURN: WASHINGTON'S SPIES as Ensign Harris. This was followed by work on several short film projects - Linnea Sage's, I LOST MY WIFE, a teaser trailer for Stinger Pictures' HARRIET'S WORLD and most recently Kaiser High School's entry into the All American High School Film Festival, THE LAST CHECK, which took home the grand prize at the 2017 festival in New York City in October.
2017 has also been a year of generating new work. In a new collaboration with Evan Margolis and Stinger Pictures, Marcus co-created and starred in MAKING DAVID HARPER'S ACTOR REEL, a mockumentary short, which was a selection at The Actor's Green Room's September Short Film Challenge "Best of" screening. This is now being developed into a larger project - so stay tuned! Marcus is also now writing comedic short stories.
